Respecting and protecting the privacy of users of the Site is of great importance to us at Odile. This notice describes our policies of information collection and our use practices with respect to the Site, and highlights choices you may have about the way we use and share such information. Collection of Information
On the Site, you may be able to purchase merchandise, become a registered user, or otherwise store other information on the Site. We may need or request certain types of personally identifiable information (i.e., information that can directly identify you or indicate where you might be contacted, such as name, address, age, date of birth, sex, e-mail address, telephone number, fax number, and credit card information) and collect it in connection with these various activities and offerings. We do not consider indications of your interests, likes and dislikes, or general characteristics such as clothing size, to be personally identifiable information unless it is somehow grouped with other information so as to permit identification of you specifically; but from time to time we may collect such information also, in order to provide you better service or to get to know our user base and its general traits.
Sometimes you can submit information about other people. For example, you might order a gift online and want it sent directly to a friend so you might submit the friend’s name and address, should we be offering that service. The types of personally identifiable information that may be collected about other people at these pages may include: recipient’s name, address, age, date of birth, e-mail address, sex and telephone number.
The personal information you provide is considered a Odile asset and may be included among our transferred assets and the assets of any or all of our affiliates if any of their assets is ever acquired by a third party. The personal information also will be processed and transferred to certain of our affiliates, including Odile AG. See “Use of Information” section below, including Declaration of Consent.
Use of Information
We use personally identifiable information for various purposes. For example, we may use information you provide to process your purchases of merchandise, or to provide for merchandise delivery to your home or to a friend. As a registered user, you provide us with information that we maintain and reference as part of our attempts to provide better and more personalized service to you. We might also use online registries or other databases to permit you to use and participate in certain portions in or features of our Site. In addition, unless you tell us not to, we may provide you with certain information about our merchandise, sales or other offerings, and other marketing materials designed to help you use our Site or to visit stores carrying our merchandise. Thus, information we obtain through the Site may be intermingled with and used in conjunction with information obtained through sources other than the Site, including both offline and online sources.
We sometimes share personal information given to us with third parties, including third party service providers, advertisers, business partners, sponsors and other third parties.
We may offer e-mail services or promotions that are sponsored by or co-sponsored with non-affiliated companies. Based on our agreement with them, these third parties may obtain personally identifiable information that site visitors voluntarily submit to participate in the contest, sweepstakes, or promotion. All information you provide will be processed and maintained by Odile through and to servers located in the United States. By using the Site, you authorize the export of personal information to Odile and its storage and use as specified in these Terms and Conditions when you provide such information to us. By using the Site, I am agreeing that my personal data - i.e. my surname, first name, gender, address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth as well as my response and purchase behavior - may be used for the purpose of sending information and newsletters about clothing, fashion trends, sales promotions and events by post, e-mail or telephone and may be processed by Odile. I also agree to receive information and newsletters about clothing, fashion trends and sales promotions from Odile and its subsidiaries by mail, e-mail or telephone. I can retract the foregoing agreement under this Declaration of Consent and opt-out with respect to the items in this Declaration of Consent at any time by writing a letter to Odile or by sending an e-mail to assistance@shopodile.com
Opting Out
We strive to make sure your preferences are respected. Therefore, you can tell us if you don’t want us to share your personal information with third parties (other than in connection with administration of the Site, as provided above under Use of Information and Declaration of Consent, or use over which we have no control, as described above) and we will endeavor to respect that. In any event, when you receive e-mails or other communications from us or our affiliates, you should have the ability to “opt out” of receiving any further such communications. Note that if you’ve signed up or provided information at different times for different purposes, you may have to opt out multiple times.

We are committed to treating your personal information with high standards of information security. We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to protect the security of your credit card information as it is transmitted to us. Also, our customer service center operates over a private network. Regarding Children
We do not intentionally gather personal information about visitors who are under the age of thirteen (13). You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to register for an account. By registering, you certify under penalty of law that you are at least eighteen (18) years old. We ask that children do not submit information to us without the consent of a parent or guardian.
Disclosure
If required by law, court order or in the good faith belief that disclosure is otherwise advisable, we may disclose your information.
